i REALLY want to go to bestival, the only thing putting me off a bit is the travel. and it's too close to leeds, i wouldn't be able to do both. the line up is always amazing though and i've heard only good things about it from people who have been. it's definitely the next new festival i want to go to. too many festivals and not enough money

I can travel by public transport quicker to Bestival than I can drive to Glastonbury from Glasgow.. it's really easy to get there

There is a campsite just at East Cowes as you get off the ferry that we stay at on the Wednesday night, they put on a great pre-Bestival night too

Depends where you are travelling from I suppose, but £40 for the car ferry seems cheap, have you checked that? Am sure it costs more than that.

For me to drive down, it would cost around £100 in diesel plus ferry costs and car parking, its probably cheaper for me to fly/ferry over (return flights are around £90)

Just bought my tick. With Glasto tickets and the football season ticket costs at the start of April, I thought it would be better just to get it now. Aslong as its not a truly diabolical line up I'll be there either way. Still complain about the no doubt generic line up come ticket day and until the fest anyway, but I couldn't see myself anywhere else come August bank holiday weekend

it's just the amount of changes and different types of transport, it seems like a hassle although i'm sure it would be worth it. i'll probably go in 2012.

Good thing about it is there is very little 'dragging' involved.

Each mode of transport is well connected.. the only bad walk is onto the site

I just get the southern vectis coaches. They're pretty cheap and only takes a couple of hours.
