Well on the Download website it says

Day tickets are not on sale for Download 2011. They may be made available in the future, please keep an eye on the website for updates.

they will be put on sale in march (or around then) when the main sale goes ahead, and when more of the bands are announced

Last year they went onsale quite early this was due to the fact Aerosmith wanted to offer fanclub members earlier option to but day tickets, so Download then put all days on sale, but usually its very late when day tickets go onsale, Download always say they would rather never put day tickets on sale but if a certain amount of weekend tickets are unsold then they put day tickets on.

Depends what their thinking is next year, Id say they'll go on sale but won't be anytime soon
