Do you think that will sold-out in a few hours like happened with Lowlands? Any rumours about bands playing? I heard about Red Hot Chili Peppers headlining... Can't remember a pre-sale last year however there may have been an earlybird price. I'm going inter railing in the summer with a mate and I've had the idea of going to pukkelpop to cap it all off. I'm just wondering roughly how much tickets cost, how easy it is to get to the fest by public transport, what the campsites are like or whether it's worth trying to get a hotel or hostel nearby? beards Posted January 5, 2011 Report Share Posted January 5, 2011 Last year was €80 for 1 day, €150 for the weekend. The majority uses public transport to get there, so no problem. Prices for train/bus are included in the tickets. There's one big camping & comparable with most other big festivals i think. No need foor a hotel or hostel. Camping also included in ticketprice. Although it's currently looking pretty unlikely I'll be making it over this summer, I think I'll still try and join in with the build up and banter along the way. Hotel in Hasselt is a nice idea, but it is quite expensive for a 3 day festival. The campsite is a no no for me given the debacle of the setting up last year - too many people in too small a place and THE WORST possible organisation I have ever seen. We got to the campsite at 10 - and thought we would be in for an easy time of it. If anything it was worse than getting there later. Its a serious health and safety problem too. Been going to festivals since 2003 and this is the best lineup/price/layout/etc ive seen. But I agree about the way they put out the tents last year. Appaulling. Alright, they dont have nearly as much space as our festivals, but the year before it wasnt nearly as bad. There was 2 of us putting up 4 tents for us and our Belgian friends coming later on, we all ended up having to walk over other peoples tents to get in to ours. Ended up a in a line of about 40 feet. But you cant fault it any other way. When the likes of Rockness are now bowing to the utter shite spewed onto our radios its great to see a festival with such a variety of music.
