STEWARDING AND BAR JOBS STILL AVAILABLE!!!

Would you like to come and be on the crew and get involved working at the UK's (and possibly the universe's!) maddest festival? There are still stewarding places available. Please see info below:

Stewarding / Bar Staff

We are looking for nice, smiley people who would like to be a part of the Boomtown community and are happy to work 2 x 6 hour shifts in exchange for a full weekend ticket, if this sounds like you please register your details at My link once this has been completed they will send you all the info you need regarding days, deposits, etc.

We are also looking for some happy, friendly bar staff who happy to work 2 x 6 hour shifts in exchange for a full weekend ticket. Please check out My link for more info.

Yeah I'll take that as a yes then. I think the person on Facebook had been emailing directly with the festival and must have got a wrong answer. Will be fuming if I end up having to chuck my bacon and sausages because of a rule change.

so what did anyone reckon then?

I thought it was quality again – a lot of fun – I think our group will be back again to see where the next one goes – not too much bigger hopefully. As much as it was clear this one was better organised, there were signs of it perhaps starting to lose some of its charm – I hope the next one doesn’t continue this trend.

Loved the streets, the way they manage to create the genuine feel of a town - rather than a load of things in a field - is dead good – like no other festival I’ve been to – and they deserve commending for that. There always felt as though there was $hit loads to see and do. Enjoyed the Arcadia stage transforming into a tank and driving off mid-set!!

Bit of a shame that the awesome surround sound in the town centre was gone… and I can’t go without mentioning the no shows from the 2 headline acts (Barrington and Capleton) in the Lion’s Den – not good – when the lineup was already slightly shaky compared to the year before. (really, twice as many people and 20 quid extra in – not entirely sure I can see where it all went)

Also, we know it’s becoming more and more about London to increase capacity – but does that really make it cool to charge 4 quid for a beer?

Had a cracking weekend – loved aspects of the growth – but also feeling that not all change is good

Very interested in what anyone else thought…..and where it might go from here.

I need help!

I'm 17 and by the time boomtown comes around it will still be a month until 18. I'm so confused as to what ticket I should get. I know it says that anyone under 18 must be with a 21+ parent/guardian but I'm not going with my parents or anyone over 21 (18-20 are my friends ages) Is it okay to purchase a teen ticket with my friends as they will be purchasing adults, and going with them? or try to get in on an adult ticket? I think this situation is a bit shitty to be honest. Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.
