Tommy101
Frank Turner tomorrow and Reef on Thursday, looking forward to the back to back gigs more than my wallet is.
big__phil
The Coral on Friday is my last gig on 2016. Shame it's at Bristol Academy, but never mind. The only time I've seen them before was at Field Day a few years ago, with the sound so quiet it was almost embarrassing. Hopefully this time is more enjoyable to band and audience. Saw them in the summer. Probably 10 years since I had seen them last. Sounded good. Enjoy

FloorFiller
i've got more gigs/music things lined up for 2017 already than i've gone to in the past two years so far have: Thundercat @ Liverpool Invisible Wind Factory, 24/3 Los Campesinos! @ Liverpool East Village Arts Club, 27/4 John Cale presents The Velvet Underground & Nico @ Liverpool Clarence Docks, 26/5 Primavera Sound @ Barcelona, 31/5-4/6 Radiohead @ Manchester Arena, 4+5/7 (and obviously hopefully Glastonbury in all of that as well) which may seem like fuck all to a lot of people, but i've really been skimping on the live music thing over the past few years so am making an effort to go to more gigs, especially with some decent stuff popping up in Liverpool/around my way. what with quite a few good albums announced and tours hopefully due fingers crossed i'll be adding to the list significantly

Also thanks for alerting me that Thundercat is on tour! Haven't checked my Songkick in a while so I'd completely missed that, I should get buying my LC! tickets quicksticks as well. So that makes my 2016 line-up so far... David O'Doherty in Manchester (does songs, it counts, fuck off) Bon Iver in Blackpool Thundercat in Manchester Los Campesinos! in Birmingham Metronomy in Manchester might go Touche Amore and/or Modern Baseball in Manchester also. bit sparse for me that. I've been looking at gigs in Orlando during my Disneyworld holiday to see if there's anything worth going to, noticed they've got The Gaslamp Killer and Run The Jewels in a week or so, I'm praying for the lord to intervene and postpone it to April. Amy Lawn
Would be getting tix for Bruno Mars + Anderson .Paak at the MEN if it was cheaper and the crowd wasn't going to be full of middle aged daytime TV viewers.

Amy Lawn
Stewart Lee is another one I've only just found out about it, trying to get cheap tickets through my contacts in the Lowry.
grumpyhack
King King at The Globe in Cardiff on Fri 13th and I'm tempted by Tommy Emmanuel at St David's Hall on the 14th. I think he's a superbly talented guitarist but my mates have dismissed him as a 'novelty act'. There's no pleasing everyone.
big__phil
Got given tickets for Stornoway tickets for their farewell tour in Feb, which makes my 2017 calendar look like: 28th Feb - Stornoway - Coulston Hall, Bristol 10th March - Glass Animals - O2, Birmingham 26th March - Car Seat Headrest - Brudenell Social Club, Leeds (first time in venue and city) 6th April - British Sea Power - Trinity, Bristol 19th May - Metronomy - Brixton Academy 21st June - Glastonbury 1st July - Maccabees - Ally Pally 22nd Sept - Justice - Brixton Academy Not sure if I'll manage another festival or not this year, but happy with what I've got here. Of those I've only seen Stornoway, BSP and Maccabees before, so a few new ones to look froward to. mjsell
Only got 5 things planned for this year and two of them arent music related... 3rd March - Stewart Lee @ Alban Arena, St Albans 23rd March - Declan Mckenna @ The Garage, London 1st July - The Maccabees @ Ally Pally, London ->14th July onwards - Much Ado About Nothing @ The Globe, London (Tickets not on sale yet - have never been to the Globe and want to... and I'm a sophisticated bastard) 29 Sep - Justice - Brixton Academy, London I'm considering starting to go to gigs on my own - as theres not many people that I would want to go with that listen to the smaller bands I would like to see. Black Sabbath - O2 Menach Beach - Portland Arms, Cambridge Goldfrapp - Junction, Cambridge Feeder - Junction, Cambridge Mew - Shepherds Bush Red Rooster Festival Hans Zimmer - Wembley Standon Calling Festival James Newton Howard - Royal Albert Hall Not too bad but need to get back to more gigs at the Portland Arms as it is just around the corner and does get decent bands in. big__phil
Going to try and get Interpol tickets tomorrow for Manchester in Sept. Playing Bright Lights in full, which will be rather nice. To be honest my perfect Interpol setlist would be them playing all that record with a few others thrown in, so should be a fun night!
