I think I like childish shite for thickos then

Finally we can all agree on something! It is a brave man who confesses on a public forum to being a thicko. Bravo for your self-awareness.

Now go and read that "top5 lyricists" thread for goodness sake and give your poor ears a break. They deserve if after you have inflicted a lifetime of the worst kind of utter shite on them.

Rastamouse makes a bad ting good.

Jessie J only makes a bad ting, everytime she opens her mouth to sing.

They both entertain audiences of about the same age.

A lot of my friends children do love Jessie J too. In many ways it is indeed childish shite for thikos. Many of the Beatles, Beach Boys and Wailers early tunes were childish shite for thikos, but many of those are still great tunes and you can always hear the potential. What are your kid's musical tastes?

Last I heard he was loving Gogol Bordello.

But what kids like isn't much relevance, unless you're a kid or you're Jessie J.

And Gogol Bordello is indeed the most profoundly wonderful childish music imaginable

Nope. While there's lots it could be criticised for, it's not empty-headed pop pap for 12 year olds in the style of Britney, Steps and a million other crap pop acts.

But anyway, he's 15. What's your excuse? ;)

she writes simplistic lyrics for those who cannot comprehend poetry with any depth.

Isn't that most Pop music though through the years?

Not sure why Jessie as the hate going on. Music snobbery I guess

Just ignore her, I do. Except when having to sit through it on X Factor (yes I am in the same position as Neil, still it's good to take the mick out of)

Jessie is getting the hate as she is the current "big thing". Dont worry, I'll be here to say the same stuff about next years music industry project.

In the real world of course I ignore her. On here when there are threads made in praise of her I will continue to enjoy wasting time at work hurling insults her way and mocking aural paupers like bamber.

It's not like it wasn't obvious, as there's clearly a reason why your ears have stopped working.

I am a sado obsessive freak, and proud. I listen to to all kinds of music all the time, but I listen to Jessie more than any other, see ^^^^^^ for why, or in your case why not.

my "why not" being my ears not being led by my cock.

Even if, god forbid, my cock was chopped tomorrow, I fear I would still love Jessie. My ears are sound, my credibility is fu*ked, but hey, at least I have something new to listen to that I enjoy, you lot, it seems do not have that pleasure. :D

not really. It was always challenging, and within a couple of years they'd be experimenting lyrically, musically, sonically... in any way imaginable. I'd hazard a guess that Jessie J doesn't share similar artistic ambitions... her main talent seems to be as a writer of catchy songs. If that's what she wants, then she's succeeded. Hard to knock really....

Beatles, Beach Boys.... :D lots of other stuff... they hate Jessie J

my wife loves her

but to call it music for thickos is nothing more than the usual snobbery

Brian Wilson and Paul McCartney had similar ambitions in their early days. Let's wait and see.....

The bastard daughter of Hilary Devey

which similar ambitions?? They just wanted to be in a band and write songs. They didn't go around saying they wanted to save the world or some such bollocks, they just got on with it ...

sorry, but every clip that gets put up brings out the snob in me, and makes me think it is music for thickos... that song is just awful. What's with all that "nininininooooo ninininininooooo"...? it's 'orrible  .. it's ego driven, self-obssesed, and ultimately vacuous

One man's vacuous shit is another's inspiration, such is the nature of music. I love Joss Stone too b.t.w.

oh, I've got plenty of new stuff for my ears, just nothing original (same as you, as you've managed to prove while trying to prove the opposite ) and nothing that's particularly recent.

All of it is queued up on the basis that it's good music, and nothing because my cock is over-riding my ears. :)

OK, yeah, yeah, but why has no one got anything at all to say about Erykah and My Morning Jacket in that other thread. That properly disappoints me :(
