I've not strong feelings about her except to say that Price Tag is a stone cold classic pop song, and when you're all old and grey it'll be on some nostalgic pop programme on the telly and you'll go 'oh yeah, I remember this, great tune' and pretend to your kids that you liked it at the time.

Couldn't name another song by her if you put a gun to my head, but one solid classic? That's more than 99.99% of artists manage.

I've seen her... she was pretty awful. However she can sing.. she hits the notes she's (presumably) trying to sing. I can't stand her... but it's hard to validate an argument that she can't sing

yep, she does hit the notes she's trying to hit, that much I agree with.

But when she hits those notes I get an overwhelming need to put my fingers in my ears to block out that awful sound, and I'm far from the only one judging by the reactions of the non-fan-boys at Big Chill last year.

I hate this bitch more than any other pop act on the planet at this moment, she is truly abysmal. Regarding the Ke$ha comparisons; I actually quite like Ke$ha, she's a cheap, chearful, tacky, low-rent pop act that doesn't take herself at all seriously and I have no problem taking her at face value and enjoying her for the half-parody act that she is, much better than all the shite manufactured pop that pretends to be arty and meaningful. Jessie J really really does my head in, last year they played Price Tag about 3 times per night in the bar where I work and I wanted to break the DJ's nose every time he played it, the lyrics are utter nonsense pap and there is an alarming lack of an actual tune. I despair for Britain when I see the crap that people will buy.

I agree with Festival Freak, there is nothing wrong with cheesy pop music. I don't mind Katy Perry in a cheesy pop kinda way. If Jessie J was cheesy pop she'd work a lot better. Instead she tries to be cutting edge and a serious artist when she is obviously not.
