Katster
i lost 3 pounds this week and had 2 cheese burgers and 2 rolls & sausage in the process and a couple pizzas. diet schmiet!
ampersand
If that's all you ate for the whole week, that's probably why!
Katster
I got smiley face stickers to stick on the cards I have made for everyone, along with crying faces for the ones who haven't lost any weight. All those who have will get an options hot chocolate drink sachet and a tangerine. The biggest loser will have their choice of a £5 treatment at the local salon or a bottle of weight watchers wine. I still have plenty of money left to play around with, and hopefully some people won't have lost weight and will have to pay a fine!!! Last time I checked I'd lost 4lb, I'm due my 'weigh in' later on today

Catifah
It's ok, for a white wine that's low in calories I prefer rose or red wine but unfortunately they only do white, as far as I've ever found?
Katster
They do red and rose too! My local Asda sells them. The rose is the best I reckon.
Katster
I found the rose and the red weight watchers wine. I'm sampling the rose tonight

ampersand
Is it just Weight Watchers wine or do they do beer & cider too?
rachbon
i've decided i'm off beer for the foreseeable. just sticking to sparkling wine. or is this not going to make much difference?
ampersand
about 95 calories in a glass of sparkling wine apparently. not sure if that's a small or a large glass. do you like spirits? i think it's only about 55 calories for a vodka. just have it with diet juice. rachbon
not especially, it just makes the pepsi taste a bit mingy. i'm not going ott with the diet, just wanting to cut down a bit. as long as wine is a bit less than beer
feral chile
Depends how much you drink and how often. The occasional few pints a week won't hurt too much - I used to have a good few pints of Guinness on a friday and still lost loads of weight - but mind, this was offset by lots of rigorous dancing on the night, and a mysterious loss of appetite the following day. philipsteak
This is quite an intresting idea for providing motivation. You put in your goal, give em you credit card, the amount you want to stake, and pick a recipient of your money if you don't meet your goal. To really motivate you make it someone or something you wouldn't want to get your money.

LusciousLucy
Despite achieving a 5 mile cross country run yesterday (NB. I've never run further than 2 miles even on a road before) and eating healthily since early Jan and avoided wine for the past few days now, I am still to drop a gram! This is pissing me off now. ampersand
Are you measuring the fat loss just on your weight though?
rachbon
i never weigh myself. i don't know or care how much i weigh. i just go by how my clothes fit, i usually notice my clothes getting quite loose after a few weeks of dieting, i prefer doing it that way. rather than setting a weight goal i'd just aim towards a dress size. Katster
I personally wouldn't weigh myself but the people at work wanted to so I'm doing it. I'm not worrying about it too much though as I weigh myself one minute then the next minute I'm 2lbs heavier then the minute after that I'm 4lbs lighter. On digital scales too!
