I still very much doubt he said that, and even if he did, I doubt he meant it. They're one of the biggest bands in the world, why would he not want them back?

It was a different level, I think people can write off a bad performance but the attitude sucked. GNR may have been late on but at least they tried when they were on stage.

This is why I hate people bringing up RHCP as it'll raise this debate again that has been done to death more than MCR.

It's like a mother telling her child that they are beautiful even if they're a minger, it's true to them but they still doesn't change them being ugly. Everything about that performance from set list, attitude to them pissing about on stage like they are an improv jazz band was terrible.

The whole thing is subjective though. I've just been looking up reviews of the Reading/Leeds performance from 2007 and while they are mostly negative there is the odd positive one.

Agreed. What also isn't subjective is that RHCP are a very successful and popular band and would draw a huge crowd and sell tickets should they play.
