clarebear86
We're flying from Belfast to Bristol on the Wednesday (flights not booked yet but thats the plan) and i'm just wondering where would be the best place to get our drink before we headed to the festival - bearing in mind i've never been to glasto before or to bristol so i'm completely clueless about it all lol
Dark Star
There's a few options open to you, one is to get the bus from the Airport into Bristol. There's a Tesco in the cenre, but not sure how far you'd have to walk to/from where the bus would drop you. It's about a 15 minute walk from there to Temple Meads station where trains/shuttle buses can be caught. Alternatively, get to Glasto straight away, set up, and you can then use one of the buses that runs to/from the site into Glastonbury town. There's a Morrisons 5 minutes from where these buses stop. Costs about £7 return, but that'll be easily off-set by the savings if you're buying a couple of crates.

lord stradmor
How are you getting from airport to Pilton? If you are getting the bus straight to the site, buy in Bristol but if coming down the A38 I always recommend stopping off at Thatchers in Sandford for a couple of gallons of Heritage straight from the barrel...Its a one mile detour but well worth it. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=thatchers+sandford+maps&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&hq=thatchers+sandford&hnear=&radius=15000&ll=51.332703,-2.83458&spn=0.0074,0.016544&t=h&z=16 an often missed alternative to the hordes near the site if you are on the way there is the ASDA at Highbridge, 3/4 mile off the M5 at Junction 22, just down the A38.
