Thanks everybody! Appreciate your thoughts and expertise. And yes, the flight will be interesting, coming straight from a week of Glasto. Will definitely clean up the best I can prior to boarding.
I’ve only been to sziget one time in 2019 and we bought tickets early (pre Christmas!). However , in that year, Florence / 1975 / ed Sheeran / foo fighters and other strong names on the undercard were announced right from the beginning .
Im still undecided about my choice for a festival this summer but with sziget I certainly wouldn’t buy anything in its current state until the line up is closed , I imagine it’s the same for a lot of people.
They're either in sh*t places no one wants to live or are just f**ked.
Why you think prices are so high.
Our population grew by about a million in a few years.
It is projected to grow by another 5 million in next 7 years.
Agree about 2nd homes...but not everyone wants to live in St Ives or Lake district.
I was just talking about Kens post a few hours ago. Basically what I got from it was get the big hitters out, tickets sales doing really well. So no need to spend any more money than needed to, which in turn gives out a watered down line up/product.
It's not just about sales tactics but the economics plays important factor too - as big headliners are taking a larger cut of the pie, the rest of the lineup has to be booked with less.
