Sell the festival to me: i am tempted! What's it like?

My answers are the same as they were on Drowned In Sound, but I'll add that I've met up with some people from this forum at EoTR, and they were/are great and I hope to be seeing them all again this year.

So, there's that

Been to them all, starting with the one with more acts than attendees!!

Gets better every year, thankfully it's shed it's younsters only' tag -last year even us oldies had a good showing.

These days I work the Festival as a Steward, so, see the Festival from a different view.

Usually look at the line-up and recognise only 3 or 4 but ALWAYS go back with some new favourites. Sofia (or whoever) desrves a medal for putting together such a diverse and consistently brilliant line-up.

Good food, good company - what more could you want.

Well, make sure you bring something (or someONE) to keep you warm at night - it's DEFFO one of the colder Festivals out there......
