Maybe it will be completely out of the blue?

With Efestival headline rumours they usually get 2 out of 3 right, agree?

so if this theory is correct which band would be wrong?

Strokes? MCR (i hope are wrong)? or Muse?

and who for?

Im feeling someone along the lines of Blur? Undertones? The Smiths?

with maybe for like subs like Primal Scream? Soft Cell? Massive Attack?

would be amazing for me to have the classic bands :)

Soon all the 'I dont like MCR' straws will have been clutched and these silly questions will disappear. We've got enough 'I wonder who will headline' threads, this is just a poorly thought out variation on those. We all accept that efestivals may be wrong, though we all come here because we know they're often right and usually reliable. You really didn't need to start a thread pointing out that we haven't yet considered every band that could conceivably ever headline.

MR JUMP YOU ARE WRONG. the smiths are the most iconic.... epic... band of 80's they gave the thatcher child something to believe in. morrisey alone is one of britains finest lyricists and performers of all time, you add marr to the mix. the results are mind blowing.

you are so WRONG. i am not ever going to bother replying to any worthless nonsense you may spout.

I can't say I'm a big Smiths fan but there is no denying their talent. Morrissey is one of the greatest lyracists of all time and has written songs that will definately last the test of time.

I was quite surprised when Morrissey played leeds in 04 but he was quite amazing, opening with How Soon Is Now was an amazing moment.

Don't agree about Morrissey being a racist. I don't think even he knows what he is half the time, let alone be a racist, and most of his lyrics are about his own lack of having any real identity - although some of them lyrics are hilarious.

As for Johnny Marr - he's an exceptionally good guitar player. His talent lies in the fact that he's very good at disguising his virtuosity behind what seem like fairly standard songs and riffs; bit like John Frusciante actually.
