Charity Cycle

Afternoon y'all,

The purpose of this thread is to extract money from your bank account, but is entirely legitimate.

In May of this year I’ll be cycling from London to Berlin. Current thinking suggests that I’ll be doing this on a single speed bike. To make it a challenge like.

The ride is in aid of two charities;

• Maternity Worldwide http://www.maternityworldwide.org/ ; and

• CRY (Sudden Adult Death) http://www.c-r-y.org.uk/

The proposed route covers 700 miles in 7 days, leaving on Saturday 8th May and arriving in Berlin on Friday 13th May (Fate allowing).

Initially the proposed route was to include a stop in Amsterdam, however this was scrapped after careful review, the organisers deeming loss of memory, motivation, and the concept of time, as detrimental to the cycling schedule.

The finalised route is:

Day 1: St Pauls, London - Harwich (Overnight ferry)

Day 2: Hook of Holland - Brummen

Day 3: Brummen - Harsewinkel

Day 4: Harsewinkel - Hoxter

Day 5: Hoxter - Wernigerode

Day 6: Wernigerode - Coswig

Day 7: Coswig - Berlin

I have a target of £1500 to reach which will be a challenge in itself. If anyone on these boards would like to help me reach this target you can do so using either of the links below (the aim is to split donations roughly equally between the two charities).

I'd be eternaly grateful for any donations received, as i'm sure would the two charities.

Please, please, please pass this on to friends, family, partners, colleagues, MP’s – I need all the help I can get.

Hopefully i will have recovered in time for Glastonbury...

All the best

Peas.

Tom

Aye i've developed a penchant for these ridiculous rides. If i ever get the time/money i'll be cycling across Canada...
