mrtourette
Yeah Offspring definitely too big for the Lock Up, but I agree that they would need something new to make them relevant and push them higher than fourth on the main stage. onemangang
no idear why we would want a band who are not even sub headlining oxygen. when the black eyed peas and the script are both above them.
Guess Who
^ They are above them but doesn't mean they are better, oxegen isn't a rock festival its mixed and so thats why it places the script and bep above mcr to appeal to more fans who will, just like if the script or BEP ever came to R/L mcr would headline with the others subbing or lower, just depends on the festival
eFestivals
no idear why we would want a band who are not even sub headlining oxygen. when the black eyed peas and the script are both above them. if things turn out that way, then the answer is actually easy enough to grasp even if you and others don't want to hear it... It would be because a person with your music tastes is not the target audience of the festival.
Buko
To be honest I think MCR will go down pretty well, I mean everyone talks about bottling them but I dont think it'l be too bad. I looked 2006 up on youtube and theres a few bottles thrown when they first go on stage but they get bored pretty quickly, Plus I think alot less people hate them now the "Emo Craze" has died down. Hopefully something like this.

Guess Who
I'm 18, i'd go watch them see how they perform, I know many others that would as well...plus so what if 15/16yr olds all go to watch them? If they do then Benn made a good choice because they got a good audience but just because you wouldn't watch them doesn't mean anyone else would your age or older
JAnderson
They're just so horribly woeful.
lharris92
i dont mind some of their stuff, but i wouldnt go out of my way to watch them.. besides theres several other stages where you could see other bands/acts
rexclark
So if they're announced next Monday, do we have another five months of this? I can't wait.

Role Model
Wow the announcement's really close suddenly, spend ages thinking it's so long away, and it's crept up on me now.
Dave The Hedgehog
After the announcement I will spend one day writing how much it (probably) sucks then leave this side of the forum. There's only so many times you can say you don't like the line up.

onemangang
I'm going to wait for the second or third announcement before I make a decision. If I am suddenly awakened by the idea of a name like Blur, Suede or Soundgarden being dropped then I'll feel even more motivated to get a ticket but if the undercard is shite then my festival allowance is going on either Hop Farm or I'll Be Your Mirror. Smaller festivals seems to have a lot more going for them this year.
Dave The Hedgehog
aww i hope you come down to the farm, we can hold hands and sing along to mozzer. are you saying hop farm is small?? if so i cant agree.

Dave The Hedgehog
That's annoying as the thing that always saves the line up for me is the Lock Stage which will be the 3rd/4th announcement and all that time waiting could be better spent planning other fests but still R&L is my preffered major fests of choice so will give a chance and I will go to the same small fests every year regardledss of line up anyway. Chavmeisterdeluxe
I remember the amount of threads in 2006 when they played above Slayer, it was quite lol worthy. No-one could accept that a very popular band should play above a band who have recycled the same old bollocks for 20 years.
Andiee
i'd like to see MCR headline... it's better than the same old headliners we see at festivals year after year.
Role Model
It's more interesting than Muse, no question about that.

Bisque
Muse may have played all the festivals to death, not have the best crowd interaction & some of their songs go on for a bit. But they will put on an epic show & it will be quality. A very safe booking, but definitely a worthy one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uADme5DXbvY I remember being a bit bored when they played that, but when it kicked in it was worth it. EDIT- I know a lot of people don't like Muse's music, but you can't deny that that video shows that they will rock Reading in August (if they play!). Cieran
Exactly what I was thinking Couchy. I don't listne to Muse much, but it's one band I would love to see live because basically from what I have seen and heard, they're amazing live at festivals.
