eFestivals
I ordered two and a bottle of Bounty flavoured liquid make sure you let the wicks soak with e-juice for at least 5 minutes before you use them for the first time, else you'll burn the wick and it'll taste horrid. nightcrawler13
can you recommend a clearomiser/atomiser/tank that is better than a Innokin iClear 16 Dual Coil Clearomizer but not quite in the £25+ price range?
Bisque
Its really addictive. I really can't see it as a way of stopping smoking as I've found I & my friends smoke them a lot more than we would normally smoke, & I don't smoke. bucko
yeah another vote here for the AeroTank mini, its a good solid piece of kit and gives a lovely vape. for this reason i'm in no rush to try the SubTank but everyones saying good things about them. mikeb
Its really addictive. I really can't see it as a way of stopping smoking as I've found I & my friends smoke them a lot more than we would normally smoke, & I don't smoke. Well, what can I say ... other than au contraire M.Couchy Give or take a couple of days, I've been back on the vaping wagon full time again for a year now. The very last real ciggy I smoked was at the end of March after having cut back from ~40/day to 1/day over a couple of months. Done it all before ages back mind you but had to start over again due to falling off the wagon bigtime after unpleasant and mega-stressful circumstances various. I've also been gently tweaking down the nicotine content of the juice that I mix as well in addition to not smoking the Real Thing. By this time next year it should be down to zero but I've no plans to 'give up' as such. Nicotine is seriously addictive but just like any other drug, you don't *have* to be slave to it and with vaping it's a whole lot easier to manage/control your intake ... if you have the desire and will to do so anyway. I see absolutely no reason to stop vaping even when I eventually remove nicotine from the equation though unless by that time I feel that I actually want to. However, I must admit that for me it's never really been about health benefits (be they perceived or real) but always primarily about the totally stupid amount of do$h being consumed. In very round figures, going from spending >£10 a day to <£10 a month is what it's all about. Whilst vaping isn't even remotely as 'good' as the Real Thing and even now I'd still kill for one, there's nothing much not to like about circa £3.5K/year still in my bank A/C rather than being handed over the baccy counter in Asda ! Having said that, I've actually spent the savings ... and significantly more into the bargain ... but that was a conscious decision. Up front costs of new toy plus 10 years of planned expenditure worked out at <10 fags a day when amortised out. Could I afford to spend several £K on a whim and also commit to significant ongoing expenditure all of which was roughly equivalent to the cost of 10 fags a day ? ... you're damn right I could having stopped smoking the 20-40 a day I'd been smoking for donkey's years and I'd still be running at a 'profit ' into the bargain ! Financial planning at it's very best and all that Vaping may or may not be 'safe' but it simply has to be almost without doubt a whole lot better/safer than smoking. It has to be said that not coughing me bollocks off for an hour or so every morning, not having numerous snotty colds during the year and not feeling like I'm about to die when riding the bike or doing anything remotely strenuous is a very welcome 'side effect' if nothing else I strongly recommend anyone still smoking baccy gives vaping a serious go but you really do have to persevere with it. Contrary to all the hype various, vaping is not in any way as 'good' as smoking. However, apart from any other potential benefits that there may be, there are plenty of better things to spend your hard-earned on than packs of ciggies/baccy and all the associated tax/duty PS: It's never going to be an even remotely good idea to get into vaping unless you're already a committed slave to baccy/nicotine. Neither your body nor your wallet will thank you for starting vaping unless it's simply because you're swapping one stupid addiction and a seriously bad habit for a similar potential addiction but a significantly less bad habit. eFestivals
I've just bought myself a Kanger Subtank, but it doesn't work on my batteries (including an upto 6v VV battery). From googling, one of the retail sites says it's not suitable to use with "standard eGo batteries" and needs "a battery capable of producing more power".So I need another battery, a big one I guess, and one which has a '510' thread (same as an eGo) as that's what the Subtank has.Can anyone recommend me something please? eFestivals
I added a link to it, it's nothing fancy like some of the items I've seen today though.. that style of tank is commonly known as an 'evod' (as far as i'm aware, anyway). I tried one but hated it, just because it's hard to see how much juice is in the tank. Edited January 30, 2015 by eFestivals
5co77ie
I have an Evod tank - and the juice has leaked into the case I think because I can't undo the thing to refill it anymore. Another advocate of Kanger here.
eFestivals
in the end - mostly cos I could get it in a local shop - I went for one of these muthas as the battery...http://www.cloupor.com/cloupor-t8-150-watts-box-mod-for-saleThe subtank with that is amazing .... tho I need to make weaker-nicotine juice to use with it, as the much bigger cloud means much more nicotine intake. Thearg
They've just opened a e cig shop in my local high street http://www.ecigwizard.com/ I think a shop is a really good idea compared to buying on line as they found the strength and flavour best suited to me rather than wasting money on something too strong or weak on line. The trouble is if they are a victim of there own success they wont be open very long.
Thearg
I'm not too sure about them ,I am experimenting at the mo having never used one before, they seem hard to get a drag on and I find I want another go after 20 mins. I think the technology has a long way to go to become as enjoyable as a ciggie. I shall persevere.

I was telling all the customers to not buy what they were being recommended - and getting scowls from the staff - and to instead buy an Aerotank, offering mine for them to try.Every one of those people (more than 10) bought an aerotank, exclaiming how much better it was than all of the different naff things the shop had recommended them over many visits. So buy yourself a Kangertech Aerotank (or Aerotank Mini), and discover that they don't need to be hard to get a drag on. Aerotank plus another make I am trying out (can't remember the name) and went into Broadmead the other day, new shop there that seemed to know their onions. I may have been lucky though, I was struggling as Therag but now a month and a half in. Now just deciding on flavours and whether I should make them myself, the liquids that is

Don't know the one you are talking about. My other one is a shop in Midsomer Norton, but I know the guy, the shops a bit shit but he is hoping to branch out on his own. eFestivals
whether I should make them myself, the liquids that isIt's what I always do myself, having settled on a couple of flavours that I'm happy to vape all the time. It would be more hassle to make small amounts of lots of flavours.I made up about 300ml of one flavour last week, and it took about 30 minutes, and cost me perhaps £20 to make (instead of £100+).(note: it's much easier to make up a big batch to then pour into little bottles than it is to make up the little bottles one-by-one ... sounds obvious I know, so why did I start off doing them one-by-one? )
