why dont they get it over with,we've all known for about a month now that it is going to be them.

its amazing how much the 'reunion' thing increases a bands stock.they were starting to struggle towards the end of their time as the darkness,then they split up,formed two bands between them who could barely sell out clubs with 400 capacity,then(the lowest of the low) hawkins decided to enter eurovision but didnt even get past the qualifying round so didnt make the actual show.

so how do you put this fall from grace right??? reform the band and get to sub-headline a major festival,ha ha.genius.

Slightly off topic again, but seeing as MIKA was mentioned, it's only fair to post a link to this AWESOME song which Justin Hawkins wrote for Adam Lambert. When I got his album I thought that song had The Darkness written all over it. Imagine my amazement when I saw it was actually Justin...LOL!!! (there's also a Matt Bellamy-penned track on there)

As i posted earlier in the thread, thrash hits have said the darkness are being confirmed next week. Andy c has tonight confirmed there will defo be an announcement nxt week. So there u go. I reckon the darkness are guna announce a tour soon so download want to get their appearence at donny out as fast as they can now.

Listening to the second album lots at the moment, One Way Ticket To Hell...And Back. It really is fantastic! I hope that because Frankie is back in the band they don't go too light on it in the set list.

I think they will announce a new single, Download will be their only UK date apart from maybe a secret gig. They will do European festivals and a proper a UK tour at Christmas time. Don't let the bells end!!!

Always enjoyed them back in the day. Whether they should be subbing a major festival 7/8 years on is another matter.

They will be very good fun though as a one off though, very much doubt I'd go and watch them on tour.

I had a great time last year but booking The Darkness was the final nail in the coffin for me. I was considering going for the day as I wanted to see Def Leppard, but I just cant justify the cost of a day ticket with that line up so I have gone for family camnping at Sonisphere instead.

So they have been given a headlining slot alongside Alice Cooper at a festival in Sweden. And they're playing a similarly large slot at Sonisphere Spain.

Not been announced for any other UK fests either, seems like they are a Download exclusive.
