scottguesty
with corey taylor in the running for the position at the helm of velvet revolver, what do we think the chances are of seeing them this year at Reading/Leeds? would you want to see them? Vieuphoria
maybe? might want a higher slot than they deserve though

metallimuse
I can't see it.How big is the Slipknot tour?
allan14
but surely if he is annoced as the new vr frontman they would do some sort of tour or a festival
metallimuse
I doubt it.Pretty sure the other members of Slipknot would be pissed at him from touring around on their days off playing half assed gigs with them due to fatigue/jet lag. I just don't think its feasible or practical.

jump
well by the time reading and leeds comes around all the sonisphere dates will be over, so surly that makes it more lickly for vr to be at reading as theres not many other uk fests they could play this summer? metallimuse
But you are talking about the fact that these Americans would get together, rehearse and put into place production and come halfway around the world just for us and these isolated gigs which I just don't think is feasible.Maybe a summer festival tour next year but I don't think its practical this year.Just because the individuals involved may be free on the dates doesn't make it so. Vieuphoria
Can we just have Stone Temple Pilots? and then Slash solo? Slash is perfectly fine live but STP would be good fun.

Vieuphoria
Oh come on. I would rather listen to any STP album that listen to anything from the second album from Velvet Revolver
harderfaster
I thought Corey (or whoever the new frontman is) had been finalised, he just hadn't been announced? So that means they could have been booked for festivals months ago.

mrtourette
I'd be surprised if VR and Slipknot were on the same festival circuit, especially given the time and rehearsals VR would need to gel with a new singer.
