pink_triangle
Saw Spain vs Morroco yesterday, Mata, De Gea and Jordi Alba all played. Spain missed a hat full of chances though Morroco's number 9 looked handy. Thought the security measures and searches at old trafford were a bit over the top, worse than an airport, though I expect its going on at all the venues? fred quimby
2 more Golds. Canoe slalom and shooting. " World record holder Wilson said his gold in the double trap "meant a huge amount". He added: "It was really difficult to put it into words. You watch these guys talking afterwards when they win medals and saying it is hard to put it into words - and it really is." Wish I had had today off as well to watch it Edited August 2, 2012 by fred quimby
Gre
We had to empty pockets and were given full body search but passed through quickly, then again I didnt take a bag after hearing about delays from people who brought them.

Gre
That is airport security these days! When I was on the park back in May it was 'belts and shoes off' jobbie, but that was well away from the stadium. They can't be doing that at the football stadiums surely? TheGayTent
Having been inside the stadium for the 100m hurdles and high jump, I'm claiming 2/7ths of Jess' gold medal. Astonishing day, rowing, cycling, and then track and field - incredible !
pink_triangle
Fantastic night of athletics. Ennis and Farah are definitely amongst the greatest British athletes of all time. Rutherford may not be remembered in the same way, but in a relatively weak field there were several jumpers who could have won and he was the one who pulled it out when it mattered. pink_triangle
Have read quite a bit of critisism about Laura Robson today which I think is unfair. She didnt play well today but why not focus on the positives in terms of her performances to get there playing against some tough teams. If she looked a little out of her depth today then its not surprising considering she played in a match with the mens singles world number 4, womans single number 1 and mens double number 1. I personally think she is going to become a fantastic player.

pink_triangle
Bolt showed what a true champion he is and in general the rest did as well as could be expected. The night only slightly tarnished by a medal for the scumbag gatlin and John Inverdale being as idiotic as always.

AcademicPistol
Really wanted Gaye to get 3rd. That race had the 4 fastest men that have ever lived all in it and it was looking so close until Bolt found that gear that only he has it was a fascinating 10 seconds. eFestivals
Paul McCartney got lucky in the ballot too... at least when he gets tickets GB win medals. When Dave Moron gets tickets, GB fucks up. Fucking up GB is a bit of a theme for Dave Moron.
