pink_triangle
Minor complaint but what were the organisers thinking placing 800m and 1500 m the day after each other. Surely common sense dictates certain events eg 100m/200m, 5000/10000m are sperated to allow athletes to double up and produce the strongest possible fields. Spindles
When the olympics are over will cameron have to start doing some work again? I wonder how much it has cost him to have prime seats every day. Probably the same as the royals. It has been brilliant to see some genuine people in the games, mo farah, jess ennis and many more proving that in some events it is not just about being able to have the financial support to get involved. Don't get me started on dressage.

pink_triangle
Thank god the athletes in this olympics were a lot better than the dross they have managed to drag out to sing in both ceremonies.

Alcatraz
I don't know why I thought Bowie would appear at one stage. The man is leagues above the cast they've assembled for this garbage

Bisque
I think the whole think was relevant & brilliant, except that 2nd song George Michael did. Does Annie Lennox & Brian May perform at everything?
Purple Monkey
Playing Lennon's Imagine - meant to be some sort of cruel joke? Bit strange choosing a song about national divides at an event which celebrates it. Maybe not, I dunno. Enjoyed it though. thetime
Well managed to get a sneaky 10 minutes break at work to see a bit and what did I get jessy j, spice girls and beady eye lol.
The Nal
It was alright. Anything that broad is always going to seem tame to people who like their tunes. the XFactor fans etc would've loved it. I did notice that The Spice Girls are as thoroughly useless as they were when they first started.
thesecretingredientiscrime
Most of the reaction I saw was people saying Danny Boyle and Noel Gallagher would be laughing themselves to sleep.
windy_miller
Why did George Michael play that awful, awful second song?! Truly dire. I thought it was a bit hit and miss to be honest. Most of the stuff before the medal ceremony was bad. It picked up a bit after that, and the light show was out of this world. I thought they dragged it out a bit too long though. "That's it it's all over"... oh no they have to turn the cauldron off. But before that, here's Darcy Bussell. 10 minutes later... the cauldron is now off. Ok it's finished now, oh no, here's The Who (who were pretty good, but I was flagging by then). I thought it was quite amusing that Beady Eye "performed" to the original Oasis backing track for Wonderwall And by god, what has happened to Liam's voice?! TheGayTent
Pinsent was saying they're re-testing a lot of the 2004 Athens samples at the moment and expecting to uncover more cheats. Sad the cheats deny the real winners their chance to stand on the podium.
