Mike Peden, he is close friends with everyone in the business, he has more knowledge and more sources then any of you lot so you can't just completely right it off.

And to whoever said a music label and a music festival are different, i know they are different but labels do have a know of who's playing.

Also sure you went out with a girl who worked for a record label, but she didn't own it. The bosses probably could not give two shits about her if she wanted to know the lineup because she could just easily leak it. I know thats what i'm doing but I can't exactly lose my job by leaking it

I don't write him off at all - he produced the Lighthouse Family's album. You know how I know that? Because I went to the 'About Us' section on the BPM Entertainment website like you did. At least that's my opinions.

Basically, what I think you've done with this thread is take the list you already have...

/index.php?showtopic=156480&st=0&p=3486740&fromsearch=1&#entry3486740">http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=156480&st=0&p=3486740&fromsearch=1&#entry3486740

...and take away/add a few more plausible/implausible bands, then you've come back here, given the name of some randomly picked, relatively obscure record label that has NO bands on its roster that are even appearing at the festival anyway to use as a "source", and then tried to pass your wishlist off as fact without any careful consideration as to the more correct placings of certain bands, thus taking away any chance of us taking your prediction seriously anyway.

I'll leave this one for eFestivals, I think. If you've given a name, it gives them somebody to contact. No point carrying the thread on until it has been verified but personally I think you're talking out of your arse.

that this is supposedly the lineup that will be released by a semi reliable resource, he got it pretty much 80% right last year so who knows

Main stage

Friday:

Muse

The Prodigy

The Streets

Elbow - would be above the streets surely

Enter Shikari - Four or five years in a row? Really?

Funeral for a friend

The Blackout

NME:

Florence + The Machine - I think this would be a bad move I would say they would be 3rd top at least

The xx

Temper Trap

Bombay Bicycle Club

Pete Doherty - Far too low(not becasue I like him either

Ellie Goulding

Main Stage

Saturday:

The Strokes

Pulp

Vampire Weekend

MGMT - If they were going to play it would have been last year. Neil knows something we don't on these I think because whenever there in a line up he says they wont play

Jamie T

Foals

The Wombats

NME:

30 seconds to mars

You me at six

All time low

Kids in Glasshouses

Frank Turner - Too low I'd say

A day to Remember - You will never get that many pop -punk type of bands in a row on the NME

Sunday:

Main stage: - Far too many pop-punk type bands

My Chemical Romance

Bloc Party - The most out of place looking band in he world

Lostprophets - Three years running? Four out of five years? and moving up the bill when they were fourth last year?

Panic! at the disco

Sum 41

Good Charlotte

Boys Like Girls

NME:

The Maccabees

Friendly Fires

The Kooks

Two Door Cinema Club

Beady Eye - way too low, just because of who they are and the fact they have a sold out academy tour

The Vaccines

I don't doubt that there are a few bands on that list who are appearing at Reading and Leeds - it's not completely devoid of common sense - but then since about September, 20 or 30 other people have 'predicted' the same bands as well.

The difference between the harmless prediction threads and the dangerous 'genuine line-up' threads is that the people that make the predictions don't aim to be elevated to higher status, and the people who create the 'genuine line-up' threads do. WHY anybody wishes to do such is a thing is a matter for a psychological study, but on here - where psychology means sod all - all it serves to do is piss people off, and believe it or not we don't like that because we're more prone to having casual discussions about how shit X band is and how great Y band is, and why the music industry is evil (or some other irrelevant and irreverent bollocks).

What you're doing is revealing to a message board on the internet a line-up to one of the biggest festivals in the world - that's a tremendous ask for somebody to do when they've made maybe a handful of unimportant messages that have been, for the most part, ignored, and then to justify WHY this line-up is legitimate by (seemingly) supplying the name of some randomly picked A&R rep who represents a small, obscure record label that doesn't have any of the bands that are on the list you supplied anyway.
