They announced at a gig that they were going to HEADLINE a festival. Them subbing at TITP means they're even more likely to headline Reading. As much as I hate to mention it.

T headliners will be Arctics, Foos and Coldplay. Definitely not MCR. In fact, I think it's quite risky (though admirable) to give them a headline slot for Leeds/Reading at all.

While I don't know if MCR are headlining R/L this year or not, I will point out that just about everyone at this point last year was saying that Arcade Fire weren't big enough to headline.

But don't we know MCR are headlining at least one UK festival? It ain't V, T or Glasto, so all that's left is Leeds/Reading out of the major festivals, surely?

T in the Park has a VERY different demographic to Reading and Leeds though, in the same way that Faith No More could headline Download but could only make do with NME headliners in 2009, and Biffy headlining Sonisphere but probably playing third down at Glastonbury.

They're different markets (although that's closed in recent years somewhat).
