How are MCR not even subbing at T (second stage headliners?) yet they will be headlining Reading, it doesn't really make sense considering that Reading is one of the biggest english festivals? The Strokes are the only good thing to be rumoured this year. If Reading wants to keep any credability MCR need to sub.

But who would headline, the only band left is Kasabian as I can't see Reading pulling something like daft punk or Beasties out the bag.

I'm not. Last year people were piling out the NME tent when Mumford and Sons were on. It was an extraordinary sight. One year on they'd be more the capable of doing the same on the main stage. I don't personally like them but their popularity is baffling - they'd be a curveball (and a controversial act) for sure but ultimately they'd be a success.

Primal Scream are capable of headling too, and they have before. I'm not saying they will because they're already doing the Eden Project and Bestival this year, but it's not a remote impossibility.

Same could be said for the Ting Tings when they played the tent last.People on this site are getting so far ahead of themselves over Mumfords status I'm beginning to think none of you have any sense of perception.

MCR will play and they probably will headline. I'd say the only two acts Melvin could pull out the bag that would be staggering would be Daft Punk or Blur and that simply isn't gonna happen.

Loom at last years line up, Black eye'd peas playing? if they played reading they'd get bottled like shit

notice how they also have paloma faith, diana vickers and rodrigo and gabriella playing, artists that wouldn't appear at reading

but also notice from last yhr dizzel rascal is lower than he was at reading, similary so are 303H!, Frank turner and billy tallent

the point i'm making is that T in the park is differnt to Readling and leeds, it has a differnt market and i assume must have a differnt decision pricess for who plays where

not to mention Blink had the reunion factor, with it being one of their first gigs in the UK in however many years. I wouldnt imagine R&L would have a headliner whos subbing at T in the same year.
