Could be worse. I didn't see the whole set last time because of Trivium, but pretty lazy to get them back so soon. Just like it's lazy of Sonisphere getting Metallica back after the same amount of time! (and the "big 4" playing most years anyway)

id watch def leppard over pendulum any day of the year. Pendulum are drum and bass for people who don't like drum and bass. And i hate both. Kids music.

It's really not the same as Soni getting Metallica back. Soni is a two & a half day festival that put a handful of acts on the Friday. Metallica are playing the same slot Alice Cooper did last year, you have to compare like-for-like. Except this time they're back with the Big 4, you might think this isn;t a big deal, & it might not be to you personally. How many rock acts had gigs screened at sold out cinemas across the country last year? The big four's a scoop for Soni, can the same be said about Leppard?

Im guessing the Download wallet is still hit from last years headliners, SOAD probably cost a fair bit, he's said Linkin wasn't bank breaking and im guessing Def Leppard were as cheap as f**k

Well, Friday for me will be Alter Bridge - Korn - Pendulum. I could be swayed by Velevet Revolver if they subbed Friday but I doubt that will happen now.

I hope the rest of the announcment tomorrow is good to help alieviate some of the negativity, yet I fear the worst. I think if it is good they may as well have announced all at once.

Overall line up is pretty average though to be fair.

peoples reactions on here suggest to me that they were hoping for something amazing ike Led Zeppelin.

Just because they headlined 2 years ago doesnt mean there gunna be playing this year on the cheap. They probably get the same fee this year as they did 2 years ago. Its just theres nothing else out there avaliable the weekend of download. It infuriates me how unlogical and negative people are being.

This year is really disappointing. Guess its Sat Day tick for me and Soni Weekend ticket.

Its a shame as ive stuck with download now for 8 years! Guess its about time to have a year off.
