Killers have been suggested, there as a thread about it but it died pretty quickly due to the headlining three years ago.

I'm going to chuck a few headliner names in here. Ones I've not seen mentioned that much recently, if at all. Maybe a few of you more enlightened guys could point out if they're likely or not:

I think a lot of there bands have been mentioned but since the e-festivals SR information came through then everyone has pretty much discussed them and 'come to terms' (although some yet haven't in MCR's case) with those three as headliners.

I think it may have been better for the boards had this info not come about as all we have seemed to talk about since them are those three (specifically MCR due to people trying to fit anyone and everyone else in their position)

It may be a positive thing though. I'm being naive here, but maybe, just maybe they were throwing MCR out as an early strong rumour to guage people's reaction? If that's the case, it is clear from the vast majority of posters that they believe that MCR ain't good/big enough to headline. Let's hope MB takes note...

You have to remember we as people who reply to forums are not your typical R&L goers. You can see that by some of the acts that get bandied about on here. We are the minority..

Agree this board is not representative of your average festival goer. I think generally theres a bit of bias to punk and against commercial indie compared to the average person I see at the festival

I'd love The Prodigy to headline the Saturday night. I get what people are saying about the fact they've toured the last album to death, and the whole 'where's my Reading/Leeds warriors' thing, couldn't agree more. That's why I'm proposing a two hour greatest hits and rarities set.

The Killers are already confirmed to play the new Lollapalooza festival in Chile in April, with the drummer saying there were more "one-off shows" on the cards. He said that new band material was "a way off", though.

The only band that would give me a hard on if they headlined right now is Bloc Party (for nostalgic reasons as I have just listened to their NME stage set from '05... available on itunes you know).
