I thought that, the howard marks one sticks out. I just thought it seems incomplete, especially with the radio 1 guys which were a bit of a given.

The Cribs are on an indefinate hiatus just now so i'm leaning towards thinking this is bullshit.

plenty of acts on there who could play and rockness does have a lot of repeat acts, so it is believable.

it must be fake though because i don't see why they'd have howard marks back, and the cribs are apparently not playing anywhere this year.

a few of those acts probably will play though.

Personally i think the announcement is pretty solid with good mix of acts. If people thinking its fake, how come it be on Invernessgigs website. Anyone know how reliable they are for info. ?. Notice they have missed out the only couple that we know are definates in We are scientists and frightened rabbit which is strange and might add to thoughts about being fake.

Regardless, I'm not too keen on the line up if it is true but you've got to go with the flow. Even if it is there will be something for everyone there I'm sure.

As promised although a little late we have seen the release of the second batch of acts for Rockness 2011: So who do we have: Glasvegas Groove Armada, Example Mark Ronson Katy B Wombats Cribs Courteeners Brother Two Door Cinema Club Dj Shadow Annie mac Erol Alkan Zane Lowe Howard Marks Boys Noize Simian Mobile Disco Fake Blood Dj Yoga Rob da Bank The Cuban brothers Optimo From what we know the main stage will see Two Door Cinema will be on the Friday night, The Cribs, The Courteeners and Frightened Rabbit on the Saturday and Glasvegas and We are Scientists on the Sunday. Information from There have been lots of discussion about the possibility of a big act, that would help address the Nutini issue, unfortunately there does not seem to be many acts that have either not been up here recently or have played Rockness before.
