I toyed with not going last year and at this moment in time I've no intention of going this year. V has gradually become a 2 day pop festival with weaker and weaker line ups each year.

I hope everyone who goes enjoys it, but after 8 enjoyable years it's time for me to look for pastures new and a festival line up with a few more guitars!

yeah doesnt look like il be going now either. id stopped going the past few years anyway as v isnt really to my taste anymore but was tempted back by the rumours of rem/libertines/primal scream etc but now it seems we'll only be getting primal scream from that lot.

guess i was kidding myself really believing it might go back to being a decent lineup this time

I'll echo these comments. I'm not going to V but have some vague connection with the one of the sites. I think there will be some disappointed folk about with the announcement

EDIT - To the comment above about Amy Winehouse. Not to say she wont eventually get announced, a fair bit of tonight's stuff wont be main stage acts.

Yeah to follow up on this, im just talking about who is getting announced tonight, and although V usually announce the bulk of the line up and the main acts in the first announcement, judging by what ive heard theres gunna be some gaps tonight

Theres obviously the two headliners getting announced, 1 act who looks like a sub and then theres no-one else who looks strong enough to be the other sub, maybe at a push, but a few who look 3rd on main/headline 4 music

Its not power, people will tell you that everything I usually hear I'll post up on here ASAP and hold nothing back, but the admin of this site told me in private, and the condition was I didn't say anything, which I agreed to. I've said acts who have been rumoured who aren't getting announced tonight, believe me, the list Ive got you aren't exactly missing anything

Its that 3rd which IS the interesting part of the line up, cus its that part which is the unpredictable part apparently

How can you say that you have seen a thrid and your selling your ticket? if you had seen a third of any festival line up you could be persuaded to sell your ticket if it was the wrong third you saw

I read on twitter that apparently Olly Murs self confirmed then backtracked, if true could see JLS being announced as their doing a joint tour.

Then again every announcement last year I predicted JLS lol
