a day to remember, brand new, alexisonfire, four year strong, new found glory, eminem, nicki minaj, set your goals, emarosa/dance gavin dance, hit the lights, mayday parade, los campesinos! architects, parkwaydrive, biffy clyro, lower than atlantis, bmth, ellie goulding, kate nash? ke$ha, katy perry, two door cinema club, gallows, your demise

any chance of any of them to play at all, because the rumours that i've seen up to now and the line-ups of other festivals have been really disappointing.

I could see a few of them there maybi Hit the lights, Set your goals, Mayday parade, Four year strong and dance gavin dance on the lock up with a few otheres on there..

.. the only one i really cant see being there is katy perry she would need a high slot and two high for the amount of people at reading who would want to watch her

Out of the bands you listed, I reckon there's a decent enough chance of Architects, Bring Me The Horizon and Two Door Cinema Club. The rest are either playing at another festival which would mean they couldn't play at Reading/Leeds, not the sort of act that Reading/Leeds tends to book or simply don't have any reason to be playing for whatever reason.

I'm going to suggest Gruff Rhys, Warpaint, Deerhunter and The GO! Team.

The problem with a thread like this is that... well, we could be here for donkeys years talking about the possibilities. There are so many bands to choose from and I think that's the reason why people focus on the possibilities of the 3 headliners, and at most the 3 NME tent headliners - because it's easier to do that than it is to namedrop everybody on the current BBC Radio 6 playlist.

I think the minute you open up the floodgates and talk the vast amount of bands appearing lower down the bill, you could be potentially looking at thousands of bands - and the possibilities are endless. Eventually we'd only really end up with bands we personally want anyway.
