Last time I heard Hannah Peel she was playing with Blue Roses I think, I would have loved either or both of them to be at EOTR, if she was playing with the Unthanks you probably couldnt see her at the back!

Replying to my own message to say I saw Arbouretum play last week and they were superb. If you enjoyed Wolf People last year you're bound to like this.

If the powers-that-be are listening, I was talking to the drummer after the show. He said they are looking to do some festivals in the UK over the summer but had nothing set up yet.

Very much enjoying Treefight for Sunlight. They certainly know how to craft a pop hook, but with a lot of charm. How very Scandinavian of them.

Will definitely see them at EoTR unless there's a very unfortunate clash.

(In truth - apart from the Guillemots - my true album of the year is Dan Mangan - Nice, Nice, Very Nice but as that originally came out in 2009 (shocking!) I can't really count it)

4 EOTR acts. Not too shabby at all! Worst album of the year for me so far (by a pretty comfortable distance) goes to Moment Bends by Architecture In Helsinki. That album was so bad I tore down the 'Places Like This' poster from the wall in my bedroom in anger

Listening to the new O'Death album right now and it's sounding great. I think I'll put on the new Sarabeth Tucek album on later as well.
