Oh God! I'm a TOTAL Lemonheads fanboy. I would explode if they played. More likely to be Evan and Juliana Hatfield doing an acoustic set if it were to happen though. Seems to be the set-up he's peddling at the moment. I wouldn't complain about that, but it doesn't bring the ROCK!

I'm not that bothered about more rocking bands specifically. I just want a few bands that are a little bit more innovative. Whilst the likes of James Yorkston and Joan As Policewoman are great songwriters, they're not exactly groundbreaking and for me, there's nothing that really sets them apart from other artists within their genres. Beirut, Megafaun and Woods tick all the boxes in terms of having a really distinct, original sound, but I think we need more bands like this on the line-up (*hint* Menomena *hint*)

I struggle to get excited by post-rock, but EITS were pretty cool in 09. Mogwai wouldn't be bad at all.

PJ Harvey, or perhaps The National, would be the exact kinds of bands I'd expect (hope) EOTR to be trying to get.

As Tuesday is also the 23 year anniversary of meeting my beautiful girl, it is inconceivable ("why do you keep using that word? I don't think you know what it means...") that the headliner will be anything other than totally FANTASTIC for me!

is it impossible to think they might have Arcade Fire? They are over a few days earlier to do their Manchester and Edinburgh shows? I think they would be too big now, but you never know...or maybe somebody does know!

I would say just too damn big, now. Hyde Park, Glastonbury, headline size for Latitude, Reading etc. Little ol' EoTR is perfectly formed but just too little for Arcade Fire.

I'm betting on The National, they are in Edinburgh on 27th, I think this means they are supporting AF tho..... I will be crying again if the lovely Richmond Fontaine are playing...they were soooo good in Tinswick Village Hall and I had a nice chat with the drummer afterwards (see other famous people who have played there.....)
