I can't work this morning.

Ok that's partly down to not actually having much work to do, and partly the anticipation of seeing David Devant and his Spirit Wife tonight (yes yes I know, but it'll be fun), but the next headliner is so agonisingly close. I have no wise predicitons, but then I don't care cos I trust the organisers to come up with something interesting and unexpected.

Did somebody mention Menswe@r? Why not? Let's have a 1990s retro night in the Big Top, add in Marion, Kingmaker and Cud... :-D

Hi Outlier - you might be newish to my EITS/Post-Rock obsession, but you failed to see the beauty in that post - I was referring (quite brilliantly) to the Explosions in the Sky that occurred when my eyes met my wife's for the first time! Romance is NOT dead. See what I did there?

Yeah, I know about EITS and GM being their only UK festival. And in a way, love them though I do, I'm glad as they were perfect at EOTR in '09, so I wouldn't want a repeat of that, and I'm seeing them in Manchester in May. So it's Win-Win!

Ben

Thanks Ben I now do indeed see what you did there. I actually also am a bit of a post-rock lover myself and I constantly reference EITS lyrics in conversation ;) On a different note I keep refreshing my hotmail to see only my previous email from the Autolux newsletter. They have a new EP out today, anyone think they could play? Obviously not headlining but they would be more rocky...

Caitlin Rose, Dan Mangan, The Fresh & Onlys & The Secret Sisters. HEALTH, The Staves, Tinariwen, White Denim & Wild Nothing.

Edit: glad to see Caitlin as I'm missing her London shows, including one in my local (the Windmill). Others are OK. Quite like the Wild Nothing album.

Hi Geof!!!!

Ben, I have a confession....for a long time i thought Eits was the name of a band I had yet to hear, suddenly in bed one night I realised that it was just your shorthand!!!! Happy anniversary. Ours is easy to remember....Garden Stage 12/9/09

I am hoping for The Wave Pictures and lots of new bands....at the mo listening to the Walkman.

I Like Mr Weller B)

Shoebox I hope that you have a lovely time at Iron & Wine.....and not lots of twats talking thru like EOTR
