I can't work this morning.

Ok that's partly down to not actually having much work to do, and partly the anticipation of seeing David Devant and his Spirit Wife tonight (yes yes I know, but it'll be fun), but the next headliner is so agonisingly close. I have no wise predicitons, but then I don't care cos I trust the organisers to come up with something interesting and unexpected.

Did somebody mention Menswe@r? Why not? Let's have a 1990s retro night in the Big Top, add in Marion, Kingmaker and Cud... :-D

Ben EITS are a green man exclusive, sorry. I'm hoping for any of Eels, Bright Eyes, Sufjan Stevens, Belle & Sebastian or The National, but i'm sure it will be none of those and I'll still be delighted!

Hi Outlier - you might be newish to my EITS/Post-Rock obsession, but you failed to see the beauty in that post - I was referring (quite brilliantly) to the Explosions in the Sky that occurred when my eyes met my wife's for the first time! Romance is NOT dead. See what I did there?

Yeah, I know about EITS and GM being their only UK festival. And in a way, love them though I do, I'm glad as they were perfect at EOTR in '09, so I wouldn't want a repeat of that, and I'm seeing them in Manchester in May. So it's Win-Win!

Thanks Ben I now do indeed see what you did there. I actually also am a bit of a post-rock lover myself and I constantly reference EITS lyrics in conversation On a different note I keep refreshing my hotmail to see only my previous email from the Autolux newsletter. They have a new EP out today, anyone think they could play? Obviously not headlining but they would be more rocky...

ben i agree with all you say about explosions. when i see a band even if great i forget about it pretty quick. but two i never forget neil young and explosions in the sky. explosions at eotr were truly awsomne.

Is David Devant playing with the full band again? The Mystic Roadies or whatever they were called? I saw them loads of time back in the day, even interviewed them for a fanzine I used to write. If I wasn't already seeing Iron & Wine tonight, I'd be there in a shot.
