Rockness Website

We all know its been criticised in the past on here, but has it improved?

Has all the social interactions at the bottom of the page (think its all done by meebo) slowed it down for you?

I'll be honest and say am on a fast broadband connection using Windows 7 with Google Chrome and it's one of the slowest loading sites I browse!

Might be down to my settings, ad blocks etc, but it seems to take ages to load a page from the Rockness website.

At least it seems to be updated more frequently now, but it falls far short of the standards of websites such as Bestival, Camp Bestival and even smaller festivals such as Blissfields and Endorse It

Thoughts?

I just don't particularly like the home page. It looks messy to me. Going straight into information about competitions, news about announcements ect puts me off. Personally I like a clean clear who's playing and how much as soon as it loads. Strangely enough despite its similarity I think the creamfields website is a lot better, not brilliant but everything is clearer and in the right place.

I also don't think reminding everyone that deadmau5 is playing somewhere that is not rockness is not a good tactic for selling tickets to the festival.

It isn't too slow for me.

The website is alot better but the home page just looks cluttered, too much going on. I don't have any problems with it loading though.

Good point about the Deadmau5 advert, I know that it's the same promoters but I can't see them selling to Rockness punters, more likely they'd just go to TITP.

I hate the bestival websites, talk about cluttered.

Never really noticed the website speed being an issue, hasn't affected me at all.

I don't think it's that bad tbh - for all I ever do on it - load main page / click line up / view line up. Works well enough.

Tend to get news/information links from twitter / facebook now.
