Andy Copping has confirmed 'more bands to be announced this week no day/time yet'

Thrash Hits had said hours earlier that The Darkness will be announced on Weds and Andy himself finally admitted on twitter that theyre back together saying its great news only days after saying its not happening the new website is fake etc.

Be interesting to see what else we get, im hoping for Black Label Society anything else is a bonus.

Anything for me is a bonus. I am already uber happy with the line up and I got Skunk Anansie this week! Happy Bekimo! Someone on the forums mentioned Dizzee Rascal? Is this even remotely viable? I mean I love him but I'd be gutted if he was booked and people were like arsey and shit!

I'm hoping for Papa Roach personally, the line up is already brill for me but they'd top it off nicely.

if AC was going to take a gamble by booking someone like dizzie rascal im pretty sure that this year would be the worst year to do it,ha ha.there would be a lynch mob out.

Dizzee won't play, no big slots left for him and he would command a big slot, I can't see Dizzee ever playing at Download to be honest despite what Andy says, he's too big now, and how Andy can say Pixies are too far removed from the Download fanbase and then say he'd book Dizzee amazes me.

Andy's just practically confirmed the Friday sub is getting announced this week.

Thank goodness for you guys. I've pretty much lost all patience with the official forums and if I get caught on Twitter I can probably wave goodbye to my job and shortly afterwards my home, and then my festival.

I don't get why everyone's so excited about the Darkness. I MUST have missed something on that score!

As for Dizzee, please don't let AC book him. Nothing against him but I really don't think I could stand the headache from the sure-to-be-ensuing sh*tstorm that would follow...

Copping has booked pretty much everything that was avaliable to him. If you at rock am ring, greenfield and nova rock with download, theyre all pretty much the same.

So he cant be faulted on that. Some of you are pissed off than he denies things then announces them, maybe hes been told to?

Whatever happens hes guna be around doing that job for a long time IMO
