Supermarket

The supermarket is situated in the Village which is a short distance form most campsites (apart from Brown) But yes there is a supermarket. If you can avoid using it, then do so. You can queue for up to 20mins+ at some times. It's ridiculously over priced (£29 for a 24 crate of larger) and sells your bare essentials, plus a few other bits.

There is a Tesco express in seacroft which would be the better alternative if you can be bothered to trek out. There is bus service provided every day from wednesday to monday i think.

I didn't even bother with the supermarket last year. Seeing a queue stretch seemingly infinity takes the piss when all you want is a fresh packet of loo roll. I suppose it helps to buy things in bulk. Last year we made the mistake of taking too much stuff anyway, so we didn't really have much need for the market - but I wouldn't advise anybody to go there unless it was absolutely a matter of life and death.

I didn't go to Tescos either, come to think of it.

I went to Tesco last year but luckily we had cars, it was heaven to go and get loads of snacks and use some decent toilets! The queue was like 15 minutes long at Tesco for the toilets though!

There's also a subway, greggs and a ladbrokes right next door! A footlong and a steak bake has never tasted so good if you take the trip down.

We've never had a big problem using the Supermarket onsite. If you need anything that isn't alcohol just wait till late at night and it's near empty. We went in for beer last year on the Wednesday afternoon and there was hardly any queue at all so you really just have to time it well.
