30STM

I'm sorry but this is utter garbage! I've checked the last 2 Enter Shikari tours and they played the Roundhouse and Shephards Bush (or I think they were the last 2). Anyway they play these kind of venues and no bigger because they haven't got the fanbase to fill a bigger venue. So what your trying to tell me is that Enter Shikari fans suddenly got to such a large number that they can be atributed to a sizeable proportion of the massive o2 with 30stm whilst the fans

A: Have to pay extra to see them (I bet they could watch 2 sets from em at the same price then they would have to at 30stm)

B: Have to pay to watch them do a shorter set then they would if they were to do their own show

C: Have to see them in a big whack off venue instead of a smaller intimidate one

I know they weren't touring around then, but to say they only sold so many tickets because of Enter Shikari is just wrong. I'd say 5% of the audience at the most were there because of Enter Shikari. They haven't got the fanbase to be attributed to a arena, nevermind when they're the support!

They sold out very quickly when I saw them at the O2, and it's total rubbish saying lots of people left after E.S because that's not true at all.....

Also they were only terrible at Big Weekend because their lead singer was ill....

I think they're a great band, but I think sub would be too high despite having 3 albums.

Regardless of whether they sold out their arena tour or not, that is their own tour. It's a bit different at a festival. I don't think they're good enough, respected enough to sub-headline, particularly given that they have never played before. Also baring in mind the controversy of MCR headlining, there HAS to be a undoubtedly big enough/respected enough act underneath.

If they were to play, then 3rd or more likely 4th would be a decent position for them. They'd probably get a reasonable crowd but as this thread has shown, a lot of people really do not care about them. They fit the same theme/vibe of MCR day so could play..

I never said that was the only reason that they'd play. But it adds to their case. I said in my original post that I feel they'd get a reasonable crowd as well, and to people who are more a fan of mainstream rock, they may be a draw, given the arena tours and significant airplay from MTV and Radio 1.
