Very true but (and I'm saying it's still very unlikely) it does show that they have very limited options when it comes to what festivals they can play and would have to accept a lower spot if they want to play fests to promote their album.

Yes also very ture. I left that part out looking for a reply actually. Would BC prefer to take a lower spot or just wait long enough until they are offered a bigger slot, or drop down to a smaller festival as a headliner ie Latitude or Bestival?

Don't know why but I keep thinking it could be a dance act but the only one I can think of that is likely would be Prodigy and that's a no go. I refuse to accept it's 30STM!

I know last year 30STM headlined the 2nd stage at download and sub headlined to the Prodigy on the NME tent at TITP.

So I think NME headliner or 4th/3rd from top isn't out of the question.

Might be worth discussing at least the once, System Of A Down subbing?

Very, very unlikely due to them finishing the tour in June, them headlining Download possibly not wanting a spot less than headliner but Serji played last year and was theorised it was to tap him up for SOAD's comeback, MCR need a big sub (rightly or wrongly MCR are bigger than SOAD) and R&L have had Download's headliners play non-headlining spots before.

Anyone mentioned the idea of No Doubt subbing? I know they're recording a new album but don't seem to have any dates yet. Would definately be a strong sub for MCR.
