Any chance of any of these?

Would love to see any of these, was hoping the cure would play but they are exclusive at Bestival

Pixies

The Smashing Pumpkins

Pearl Jam

Third Eye Blind

Goldfinger

Beastie Boys

Alice in Chains

Lou Reed(Unlikely, but he's playing another smaller UK festival this year I think?)

I know these may me pretty unlikely but none of the suggestions I've heard are really doing it for me, it all seems like the same bland indie/pop punk dross. So could anyone tell me the chances of each of these bands of playing?

Cheers

I just think Goldfinger are no way near as good as they once more, should quit while there still ahead. To be honest I know absolutely nothing about the rumours this year as ive paid no attention to it, so have no sensible answer to your question haha. Altho I would guess that pearl jam are unlikely to play.

Pearl Jam definitely not as they'd headline and we already have the three headliners, plus they're doing their own mini-festival around that time to celebrate 20 years of Vs.

Beastie Boys and Pixies are being touted as sub-headliners under MCR but there's no evidence that they will, other than the Beasties have a new record out and Pixies have been toring heavily this year. More wishful thinking than anything but fingers crossed.

Pumpkins seem unlikely as they aren't touring or releasing anything.

Lou Reed just isn't the type of person that R&L book nowadays.

Alice In Chains would be good, they only played one festival last year and haven't been announcd for any this year but again there's no evidence to suggest they will.

No idea what Third Eye Blind or Goldfinger sound like let alone what they're up to.

Goldfinger are playing Slam Dunk in May, but no idea if that's stops them playing R&L. They tend to play the Lock Up every few years, so wouldn't be surprised to see them there again. They're really good, fun, sing-a-long pop punk - would love to see them early main stage - esp on a nice sunny day with the cider just starting to take hold....mmmmmm cider B)
