was watching a video interview with The View, where they self confirm for the festivals, aswell as TITP & Lowlands (TITP already confirmed I think)

Massive result for me, huge fan. Fingers crossed for a tent slot, cuz they arnt really mainstage material (see 2009).

agree, 2nd/3rd down on NME. Possible FR headliners? No where near as big as they were when they headlined NME in 07.

They are shite IMO. Some catchy numbers thats it. Band i was with supported them a few years back after their 1st album, was not great then.

They are marmite. Either love or hate them. Which is fine by me, cuz they dont get overplayed, and arry on playing small venues!

I completely forgot about that! Probably one of the reasons I didn't bother going that year. Although looking back at the poster there are now a few bands I would have gone to see...

Still. I don't think they could headline.

I completely forgot about that! Probably one of the reasons I didn't bother going that year. Although looking back at the poster there are now a few bands I would have gone to see...

...Enter Shikari, Ash, Dan Le Sac, Lethal Bizzle, Bombay Bicycle Club, Young Knives, Pigeon Detectives, The Horrors, The Enemy & The Subways.

Still. I don't think they could headline.

When did they last play? Was it 09 on the mainstage? Whenever it was, that sticks in my mind as the worst band i've ever seen. And I saw Cerebral Ballzy.

All i remember from that year was how awesome NIN was.

The NIN's crowd was a joke, I couldn't believe how small it was! Otherwise a blinding preformance.

I think I saw fewer bands in 2007 than any other year I've been, but conversely saw more "great" sets than any other year - Brand New, Arcade Fire, and The Hold Steady all did sets which would probably be among the best sets I've seen at R/L. And then there was the little matter of Nine Inch Nails which blew them all away.

As for The View, I can't see them in the R1 stage again, so I'd expect either a FR headline slot or low down on the main stage again.

That's such an amazing line-up for me... sadly it was the year before I started going to festivals, so I wasn't actually there. And I guess I wasn't into most of those bands back then anyway.
