Number of Bands Confirmed...

Hi All,

Was just checking my clash sheet from last year and I count 89 bands in total. This year so far I count 62 bands.

I am sure we are due at least 7+ more Local bands + a few from the unsigned peeps...but does that mean we still expect some bigger bands to be confirmed (Big Top headliners, Garden Lower Bill etc?)

I would fully expect Gruff to be one of the Big Top headliners, maybe HEALTH as another. But I don't remember them ever being confirmed until the stage times have been announced in the past.

It's usually 10 unsigned bands isn't it? And yeah, I would say another 10-15 Local acts to be announced.

Don't think there's much left of the main bill to go, but it's already pretty bloody great anyway.

Bringing science to the debate, on the official site the band names in the biggest case after the headliners are: Midlake, Laura Marling, The Walkmen, Wild Beasts, The Fall, Lykke Li, Tinariwen.

I can definitely see the first three being second on Garden and the next three as Big Top headliners.

SweepingTheNation: I applaud (sincerely) your use of SCIENCE! I'm thinking Walkmen headlining the Big Top, and Wild Beasts second on the Garden, but I think you're probably right (or near enough).

zahidf: there's some overlap, but if I remember right usually the Big Top headliners go on later than the Garden headliners.

yeah @zahidf You can generally run from Garden Stage to Big Top and see both headliners
