mb23
Does anyone know what day early entry entitles you to get to the festival at? Efestivals say it's Thursday, replacing the early bird (Wednesday) ticket which does not exist anymore, but some people seem to think it does entitle you to get you there on the Wednesday. Anyone know what one it is? The official Reading website doesn't say anything.
Dave The Hedgehog
I'm pretty sure Early Entry means Wednesday entry whereas Early Bird tickets are tickets people get before the regular tickets go on general sale.

mrtourette
It doesn't help that the vendors confuse the terms. Ticketmaster have an Earlybird ticket listed, with the days down as Wed-Sun. See tickets have an Early Entry ticket listed as starting on the Wednesday with a normal ticket starting on the Thursday. I would assume that both of these are tickets that will let you into the campsite on the Wednesday buit until the peices are up I can't tell if they are the early entry tickets alone or packaged with a weekend ticket. mrtourette
A normal weekend ticket will have the event listed as starting on the Friday because that's when the music starts but you can still get into the campsite on the Thursday. A normal weekend ticket purchased with coach travel will be the same kind of ticket but will have the event listed as starting on the Thursday as that's when the coach will drop you off. Any ticket that has the event listed as starting on the Wednesday will either be a ticket to get you into the campsite early, this ticket with a normal weekend ticket or both of those with coach travel. Does that make sense?

therefused
i went on wednesday last year. didnt do much, went to tesco, had a few drinks. thursday was pretty boring though, im not really the drinking throughout the day type, but the highlight of the thursday was probably the kfc to be completely honest. farmer_andy
Wednesday, get the train down, drinking on the train, queue up, drinking in the queue, get into campsite, get some drinks on, put tent up in a really good spot. Set up gazebos, reserve space for friends arriving on thursday. Then to tescos, stock up for the weekend, have a f**king huge bbq. Get really drunk and high, get a fire going, have some good laughs, walk around and meet some new people randomly. Pass out (preferably in your own camp), wake up thursday and immediately begin drinking, get a bacon butty, hang out at camp all day while others are setting up tents, waiting in huge queues in tescos etc. It really is worth it to come wednesday, those 2 days prior to music are such a good start to the whole experience. chappiepunk
Lad. It really is worth it going wednesday or the very least early thursday. if youre with a decent group of mates or up for meeting new ones you can have a great time for two days essentially just having a party/camping trip until the music starts. Bisque
Unless you are with a big group of people or you like socialising with people f**ked out of their skull, I wouldn't bother going on the Wednesday. Went early in '08 & was so bored for the first two days but I believe more people turn up on the Wednesday now so there will be more going on to entertain you. I will probably go on the Wednesday this year.

Bisque
Theres nothing official happening on the wednesday, but as you say if you have a good group of mates, its brilliant.
rexclark
I think it just dependson the kind of person you are, I don't go out my way to talk to strangers but I will talk to them if they are talking to me. If you don't want to wander around and having random chats with people you don't know then perhaps the Wednesday isn't for you.
