irish_first_timers
Hey everyone. Myself and 9 of my friends are heading over for our 1st Glastonbury. We're staying in Bristol on the Monday and Tuesday night before hand and just wondering what is the best way to get to the festival. Should we pre-book bus tickets and coach it, or should we hire a minibus and get dropped off at the drop off/pick-up point and get the free bus from there. What would be the best time to leave if we get a minibus, and what time do the 1st buses run from the drop off point? Any help would be greatly appreciated regarding times to leave, traffic and mode of transport, as we want to make this as smooth as possible. Extremely excited about this trip, its been a year in the planning. Thanks in advance for your help xxxx

G1T
I'd do the bus from Temple Meads to be honest, used to get it every year til I started getting a lift. The only issue with it can be that the bus drivers don't actually know where they're going, so if you start to think they're going the wrong way, then do have a word with them, as it's more than possible that they are. One year, the bus drove us into Glastonbury Town, pulled up at the top of the High Street and the driver announced 'Glastonbury Festival, everyone off!'. He genuinely though the festival was somewhere in the town...
redmosquito
Take the free airship that runs from Clifton Park and drops you right off in the flag field. I think it starts running from about 10.30 on the Monday to transport crew and then runs as a regular service for punters throughout the weekend
