jimmystobo
I'm hoping to get some press passes and sell ours on, though looking on eBay they're not going for face value

jimmystobo
it was just a pretty stupid thing to say, that's all.

chewbacca
hm... the leeds/reading headliners are UK-exclusive, aren't they? so, with pulp headlining leeds, does this rule them out for glasto?
Guest blackcockerel
They're not headlining though

Guest blackcockerel
Ah you're right, they've gone for the same set up as 2000 when Pulp and Beck swapped headlining slots. But as you say, if they're headlining Wireless then the exclusive quote isn't right

tolywoly
Pulp are everywhere this summer; V being the obvious exception. Pretty they'll do Glasto.
Guest blackcockerel
No but you're making it clear you're a bit of a w*nker Jimmy
AdamSheff
Im confused. NME have posted that Pulp and Strokes are co headlining. I thought that Leeds have exclusive headliners?? Pulp are playing Wireless as headliners yes?? Sorry if this question has already been answered!
Guest blackcockerel
Did the quote about exclusive headliners refer to just Reading perhaps? Otherwise it can't be right
danvb
its co-headlining. reading has it as pulp then the strokes as the last headliner on the main stage. Leeds has it as the strokes as the first of the co-headliners then pulp last on the main stage.
AdamSheff
I dont remember. I dont think so though. Seems like a sly move from R+L. Why not just let one headline on both nights?? Pulp obviously dont have a problem with playing second fiddle as TITP proves (and hopefully glasto)

Guest blackcockerel
In 2000, I think the reason Beck and Pulp "co-headlined", with Pulp headlining Leeds, was that they were considered more popular in the north then the south, so the two acts came to an agreement to swap slots. Must be a similar thing

5co77ie
Yes i get that. But Mr Benn said that the headliners were exclusive to Leeds and Reading. Pulp are headlining yes??? So they arent an exclusive
AdamSheff
It says, "Pulp, whose Leeds show will be their only date in the North of England since they announced their return." So, a north of England exclusive Edited March 21, 2011 by AdamSheff
Guest blackcockerel
Yeah we already know Pulp aren't an exclusive headliner so f**k it I'm still confident Glasto has them. Someone has told me that Look North said something about Leeds being Pulp's final gig, anyone else see that?
Wanderlei
I just heard The Offspring are doing Reading/Leeds too. I'm a bit worried that all the acts i really like are doing other fests and aren't even rumoured for Glasto. Hopefully some will come through for me.
