Tyler, I see what you mean about The Killers. I'm not a huge fan of them, they have a few decent tunes but I couldn't endure a whole set, Brandon Flowers voice just does my head in after a little, but like you said, they'd have loads and loads of appeal. And I personally want Bloc Party to headline cuz I think they're a great live band with lots of quality material. They are massively popular and subbed twice in a row before the hiatus, and now they're back and hopefully gunna have a new album out, I can see them being a cheaper, but still very popular, headline booking. But each to their own, not everyone is gunna want to see them at the top of the bill

We both know that Placebo and Lostprophets would be swapped. I would say there is more chance of Bloc Party playing where Stereophonics are, though they might return next year instead.

I can see what you mean but I feel Placebo would make a very strong tent headliner and it'd be fresh because Lostprophets only headlined a few years ago (when Placebo played 3rd on Main as it happens).

I have a sneaky suspicion Bloc Party might be at V this year.

I remember the slagging of bloc party got in 2009, after the festival people were saying how brilliant they were.

and the same will happen this year.

Bloc Party are my favourite band (see, someone on the forum likes them ) which is why I want them to headline. I posted this a while back - if two out of the following three are true

• Other two headliners are huge - Foos and Green Day or Blur would fit the bill

• New album is well received

• Their appearance is exclusive (properly, full-on, UK exclusive)

then I think they deserve a shot at headlining.

Im telling you they wont headline. ill risk getting egg on my face. but i guess no one is certain of anything atm, hopefully in the coming weeks things will become clearer. im calling Foo Fighters, The Killers, Green Day.

I don't really know - I was a part of the stream of people leaving.

I didn't leave because I wasn't interested in seeing him - I was. But when someone starts comparing the mild critisicm he sometimes gets with fair comment about Hilter, and starts singing down the mic that he's not a fake when he's using a vocoder to fake his voice, you know it's time to leave.

Having said all of that, he was utter utter joy to what went before - Jessie J. I'd be embarrassed to expose a 5 year old to that, knowing it was too juvenile for someone of that age.

Errm, How can you comment on the performance if you left?

I actually watched the performance, the rant was a little boring granted, but other than that he delivered a great set & nobody can deny that he actually makes a great festival headliner. However there were a few boo's and jeers & that was at the Big Chill, I'm sure if he played R/L it would be ten times worse.

I commented only on the part of performance I saw, and that that part had the crowd leaving in droves.

For the people who were leaving, he defo didn't make "a great festival headliner".
