According to the interview clip that Zane just played of his interview earlier today with Simon from Biffy which will be played in full later on in the show, Metallica supposedly personally asked for Biffy to play before them at Download.

Tenacious D supported the Foo's on their Oz stadium tour in Dec so I guess that could still happen for Reading

IMO, that now makes Biffy for R&L and T next year. And I think it'll depend on what The Killers do wether we get them this year or the surprise of Blur

EDIT: OK, just seen that Chase and Status are subbing the Prodigy, I assumed they would be headlining the 2nd stage. So Tenacious D are taking that role opposite the Prodigy, then?

That is one dancey main stage top for Download on the Friday...wonder how that'll go down.

I'm fed up with all the talk about co-headliners. R+L need some solid headliners this year to flog tickets, whether they are new to headlining or not.

That is perfect in every way for me I don't think Weezer would drop to 4th though because they've had another album and subbed Sonisphere since playing third in '10. But that lineup would be epic!
