I'd agree with Tyler that it rules Biffy out, they're now subbing IOW and Download and I doubt they's sub R&L as well especially since they've said that they're having a quiet year. I'd pencil them in to headline 2013 with a strong new album behind them.

Ahaha that quote again!

I was fortunate to go and have dinner with Biffy back in October, and they said that they wanted to keep things 'on the low'... 'for now', they also said that they'd had to cut about 25-30 songs from the new album! so i'd say they will crop up again! lets face it they are the type of band where their old stuff appeals to download, the new stuff appeals to IOW and everythign appeals to leeds, they'd be a strong reason in me booking my ticket, so i expect them on the bill

Well they've never done a consistently good job when they've played R&L (I despise them but even people who like them have complained about their set list and performance for certain appearances), but they get a better reception at R&L so it's likely tha they'll play that of the two. I get the impression that every time they've played V it's been to try and reach a more mainstream crowd and it's never really worked.

Lostprophets are my favorite band and yes they were disappointing last time i have to say. I think they need a higher slot tho so i can see them 3rd up on main this year. It's make or break for them so i pray they pull it off because when they're good live they're mind blowing

Well they've played third before and obviously didn't pull it off as the next time they played the main stage they were fourth. I imagine they'd be one of the two this time round depending on how popular FR predict their new album to be.

Means nothing, the vast majority of the 20ish odd bands that play Mayhem wouldn't play at R&L and Machine Head were allegedly in talks for R&L in 08 put didn't due to a disliking of their line up position. Korn who headlined in 10 also played Ozzfest in the UK in the same year. It's also a relatively new festival which only began in 08 so offers a smaller history than other fests. Not that I am saying Slipknot are liking but only that logic doesn't apply to this.
