Can't see QOTSA ever headlining unless their next album really boosts them to next levels of popularity, which I think they're too rooted in "alternative" principles to do.

They're not really a "current" band any more and they're well established as it is.

I've absolutely no idea on the third headliner at this moment, but I'm under the impression that it won't be Blur.

I believe they'll be doing a Hyde Park show, which pretty much rules them out of the running for R/L.

I think with two rock headliners we're due a punk/metal headliner aswell.

I hope it isn't the Killers, I think they went downhill after Hot Fuss. Can't see it being Green Day due to the set length issue. Not sure QOTSA/Bloc Party are worthy to do it this year, 2013 for Bloc Party imo. SOAD sound good to me, but I actually can't see that happening.

Basically I have no idea who the third might be.

Also considering Readings approach of bumping up bands that aren't necessarily headline acts at other festivals. Considering Foos and Kasabian are pretty well established, i would think we might have an unexpected one such as QOTSA.

I am well chuffed with Foo Fighters and Kasabian! I do enjoy a NME headliner because of being in the tent so im actually hoping for someone ive already seen or not botherd about! However if they make it a 3 out of 3 i would be gutted lol

you're dead right. And it might have helped if they'd got uphill with Hot Fuss.

Yes, I know it was popular but there's no accounting for the dreadful tastes that some people have because they're told that they should like a particular band. The sorts of crowds I saw enjoying the killers when they were touring Hot Fuss would have gone wild if all they'd done on stage was farted.
