The Cure, Kasabian and Foo Fighters a weak set of headliners? Really? I think it's a strong set. You have the current big Indie band in Kasabian, the huge stadium act in the Foos and the cult legends in The Cure. Just hope Melvin books a really strong undercard too.

The cure have definately more than one famous song.

i'm not a fan but even i can think of lovecats, friday i'm in love and boys don't cry(not 100% sure that 'boys don't cry' is the cure and can't be arsed to wiki it)

anyway, its not just about how many songs that people who arn't fans of the band can name, the cure are definately a big band.

some people think that Metallica have only done enter sandman even though they have sold something like 100million albums.

Its not there own Gig though is it... Foo Fighters played for 3hours when at MK bowl but will only play 2 at Leeds!

I think The Cure will play a greatest hits set, because if they play album tracks that nobody has really listen to it could become quite tedius! Madness last year springs to mind... everybody in the crowd was waiting for Baggy Trousers, Our House and Night Boat to Cairo.

After Muse finished, origins of symmetry it turned into a greatest hits montarge and was incredidble...hit after hit, one of the most brilliant sets ive ever whitnessed! If The Cure did simlar they would go down much better ibelive!

To be honest I have a very wide taste in music and have listened to a lot of different genres and types of music and The Cure were not a band I had come across in my life, now I havnt heard every single song that they have made but from the singles and hits they had I have listened to on Youtube I dont recognise anything by them

It is possible for people to miss certain bands especially if they were not around when they were big and since the band were away for a good period of time they can easily slip under the radar. Im not saying this is going to be the same for everyone but I cant imagine i'm the only person who has happened to not listen to much of them

I am very pro the cure I have to admit (although I would prefer Green Day or SOAD) and would like to see them but I think they'd do slightly better as a sub (which I know would never happen and they'd demand a longer slot etc.) I also think that anyone who argues that friday i'm in love wouldn't be one of the highlights of the weekend is deluded. In fact I would much rather have them over Kasabien who, while I enjoy one or two songs, really get on my tits with their egos...

Think:

Fri

Kasabian

Noel G

Kaisers

Sat

The Cure

Pixies

Mumford

Sun

Foos

QOTSA

Florence

Would've liked:

Fri

The Cure OR Killers (don't hate) OR SOAD (all three would - IMO - be good)

Weezer

Mumford

Sat

Foos

Biffy

Kaisers

Sun

GREEN DAY

Noel G

Sum 41 (probably a bit high in reality but perfect position for me)
