Those figures along with this year's sales patterns would be really interesting but I doubt they'd give them up easily. I'm a bit rusty with regards to my A-level Business Studies but I believe that if FR were a public or private limited company it's accounts would be publicly available form Companies House, although i) I'm not sure what type of company it is, and ii) I don't know if their entertainemnt costs would be broken down in enough detail.

I'm not sure about the 2008 theory, it's three years ago now. I'd have thought that last year's line-up with GNR and Libertines, while maybe not as extravagent as 2008, would be more likely to affect this years budget or want FR to make more profit this year to make up for it. Also would FR have been heavily fined in recent years for to breaking their licence due to GNR playing after the curfew and the problems with fires?

Did the Libs not get £1 Million? Then I'd assume Blink and Arcade Fire getting less than that between them and GnR getting the bigger amount.

So all in all at a guess the four of those bands could cost at least £2.5 Million and I'd imagine it was probably more so thast could explain why less has been spent this year.

Melvinn is a smart business man. It perhaps hasn't worked out this year but they'll learn from their mistakes and I think next years line up could be very strong.

They're shit and they aren't big enough.

Tenacious D have a new album out at the end of this year/start of next year, I can see them subbing someone like the Beasties.

(The first person to start babbling about them subbing Foos and Dave Grohl coming onstage deserves to be shot for being so bloody predictable).

How are they big enough now when they've played numerous times before and never subbed? That's a genuine question, I don't know much about recent/planned releases and how well they went down.

Yeah, their last album got nowhere near as much coverage as the previous 2, at least in my experience. They could possibly headline the NME again if it got enough success, but I don't think they're ever gonna get any higher up than that again.

A lot of those placings are completely wrong. Brother and Mona are too high, Mumford and gaslight anthem could be moved down a slot, although I think it's weird to have gaslight and them Mumford. Vaccines won't do a Mumford so they are too high, One night only would possibly open the main stage.

Love Brother. They're arrogant little feckers, but they do make some great singalongs. They're not lyrically insightful, they're not The Smiths or Stone Roses, but they could be another Oasis. I reckon they might just be ten years late and a lot of people get turned off by arrogant bastards now when ten years ago that was all the rage.
