mb23
I am 100% certain that Guns N Roses will not be headlining this year. End of.
evilduck
i just think its likely, to be honest Leeds is usually a good lineup, i just want some rock on the lineup if they want my money this year
mooseman
im on here cause i can mooseman, infact this board is much more interesting. ive looked at GnR tour dates and news and its highly unlikely they will be at Leeds, but oh well. gazza_20
If they are still trying to get one then I guess GNR aren't in there plans for this year. My guess and only a guess would be they are moving heaven and earth to try and get Green Day. Only problem they have is that Green Day could sell Knebworth out on their own. K126
Still crying inside that it might be The Cure... The lineup 'for me' could go from being amazing with someone like... Linkin Park, Greenday, SOAD..anyone like that in stature and style ..to being pretty meh! If it is The Cure i'd really be hoping for someone intresting in the NME....C&S would do =\
charlie2times
Who the fuck is Adam Lambert? One of those karaoke singers? I think the Cure would be a good headliner, you gotta have something a bit alternitive now that the Foos are mainstream. Kasabian are shite , but a lot better thant he middle of the road Killers, ( human, dancer, chris deburgh wannabe )! Sarge009
How likely do you think a Cure/New Order sub would be? I think it's likely NO will be on the circuit this year.
ivan
As I keep saying, I don't believe The Cure to be a massive draw, and Bestival sales last year seem to bear that out. They've got a small hardcore of fans which is more than enough to sell the occasional smallish shows they do in the UK, but there doesn't seem to be the fanbase to do much more live activity in the UK than that, otherwise I'm sure they'd be doing it (as they do more in Europe). All the same, if they're the R/L headliner - and dependent on the undercard - I think they're a pretty decent one. If they've played R/L before (I've little idea, but think not) it was a very long time ago so they're as good as a new one, something different, rather than the mostly-recycled headliners that nearly all fests seem to have nowadays. eFestivals
kasabian could be a red herring, he cant give away too much or he could face a lawsuit from the Leeds fest organisers last year we had all three Reading/Leeds headliners marked as tbc by this time (and all werre later confirmed as correct). No lawsuit.
eFestivals
Neil, you have any kind of idea how long the band in relation to a hotel booking has been booked? I know you said before Kasabian but obvs we don't know how long they have been. The hotel booking might not be a band. But it won't be Kasabian that's done it. The hotel booking was done before they were booked*. (* disclaimer: I don't know with 100% certainty that Kasabian ARE booked. 99%, but not 100%). eFestivals
Is the undercard what you would refer to as a " talentless screecher ? " I don't think I've ever quite gone as far as 'talentless', have I? But yeah, a reasonable possibility I'd say from one angle, tho I reckon she's probably more likely to pop up at V fest as a headliner than she is at R/L as a sub.
