I personally can't see The Cure headlining, and I think everyone is getting far too ahead of theselves with the concept of them being the 3rd.

I was sure subs get 1hr 10, headers 1hr 30, and 3rd band 50 mins. But I have now seen subs get 1hr, although QOTSA got an extra 5 mins at Reading in 2010 or so the set times say.

The times for subs and third bands change quite frequently, generally it's an hour for subs and 50 mins for third-placed bands but it's not uncommon for subs to get a bit more or third-placed bands to get 55 or 60 minutes. It depends on the profile of the bands and line-up for the day and again shows that there are no set rules when it comes to set times.

Yep to "work on the new album", which means they again havent got a clue what to do and will be lucky to have it out by 2014.

Didnt mind a few from the first album but had the misfortune of being stood infront of them during the Yeah Yeah Yeahs set at Glasto 2009, where they actually had the nerve to shout insults in Karen O's direction "what the fucks this shit"...................its called music, pick up your instruments and keep practicing boys and you might actually play some to that standard some day.

Listened to 17 seconds and I agree you would defo need a joint to fully appreciate that but unfortunately I dont smoke so i'll just have to live my days not being a Cure fan

In the main, The Cure are not a happy-hook song band, the sort of thing which hits you instantly but you hate within 10 hearings. Their music is of far more depth, not the disposable crap that is so much of modern music.

If you believe yourself to be an open minded music fan then you've just shorted yourself. If you've no real interest in music then carry on.

I was under the impression that The Libertines got the same amount of time in 2010 as Arcade Fire but they just didnt swtich them around like Blur and The Strokes!

Fair do's, im wrong on that one maybe because i didnt bother going to see! Would have made more sence to me and would have made the line-up stronger with 4 headliners just like last years did!

I think Efestivals have it spot on with Foo Fighters Kasabian but joint headliners The Cure/Bloc Party!

I would put money on that!
